I have no idea what the phrase bolded above means. Perhaps you can explain what the "heart" of Talossa is, if it's not "a small nation on the western shore of Lake Michigan".

Please don't think that I'm encouraging you to emigrate. :) I didn't say anything about your values, but rather towards this kind of "Year Zero" attitude to Talossan culture. I am an unashamed traditionalist in this regard, that Talossa exists precisely because of its twenty-seven years of uninterrupted cultural development, beginning from (once again) a group of friends in East Side Milwaukee. Build on that, sure - but throw it out the window and start again? Then surely throw out the language and the very name "Talossa" as well.
