So, no laboured soundbites. Idiosyncratic personal reasons are more interesting, god dammit.
My reason? Being a small-t-medium sized fish in a small pond makes me feel important. I live in a country where I don't speak the language, or at least not very well. I have an incredibly dull job. Posting my flights of fancy on Wittenberg is a pleasant hobby. I have no idea if anybody else is laughing (probably not), but I think I'm hilarious.
Wrangling over politics isn't funny, which is why I'm not a Deputy any more, of course. But overall, you can get away with being eccentric in the Republic, genuinely eccentric, and I like that. I hope we don't lose that base trying to keep up the superstructure.
