Well, Florencia are making us look bad. Should we at least elect a Governor?

The French have a potentially amusing system for very small towns. Anyone can stand for election. Also anyone can be elected, even if they are not a candidate-its a write-in system. They can of course resign immediately if they don't actually want to be a councillor. but it might overcome understandable reluctance to invovle oneself in even more incredibly trivial provincial matters.

So, write in ballot, with a run off for an added touch of the baroque, very simple, but of course, not simple at all. Imagine the spelling mistakes, or the multiple versions of their name that people use.

LOL. Yes, I saw that the most recent election occurred to us in December *2006*, so it might be about time to look up our laws and to elect us a brandnew Dude.
