(last post: March 14, 2008 - 13:42) | I'm kinda hazy on the symbols of the flag. I know that the star represents that we are a Republic province. The fleur-du-lis is a symbol of Florence. I suggested that we call it a "stargazer lily". Stargazer being a reference to our revolution and lily is a symbol of majesty, wealth, pride, innocence, purity. The red triangle represents the province, because of it's shape.
As for the coat of arms, some of the symbols are the same. The Lions are Berber lions, representing our mythical past. JP changed the colours to be more inline with the old flag. I say we change the colours to red, white and green. Or, we can leave it as is until I make a new CoA. That's probably best. |
