Texas has traditionally been assigned to Maricopa. I guess the affinity with Arizona/New Mexico is seen as stronger than the ties to the Deep South. The quite unpopular opionion of the MRP (the Talossan Peculiarists) is, that citizens should be allowed to choose a province of their preference every once in a while. But it's kind of a no-go-discussion ever since the infamous "RC9 crisis"; looking further back in time and history, negotiating the map evoked more controversial discussions than the whole debate about the creation of the Constitution ( <== satirically said), so we better accept the assignment map "as is". ;-) - Dieter |
