Hey Justice Chris

Awhile back I heard our prez talking about eventually having lower courts here in the Republic.

I'm curious to know what your feelings are about this and what kind of infrastructure you'd like to see in the provinces once we develop a need for such a thing.

I know this is light years away, but I'm curious what you would like to see in place once we have populated provinces needing judicial infrastructure.

Would it even be provincial, or just the lower arm of our current court.

Your thoughts please.
And if I might request, no one elses.

I'd say provincial, definitely. The other option would be to have two sets of lower courts, a criminal court and an administrative court (where I hope the former one wouldn't have much to do except perhaps libel cases). The High Court could be the same for both these branches.

But I'd really prefer them to be provincial courts, to strengthen the provinces.

"Chris Anglatzarâ"? Our Chief Justice was talking to someone named Chris, wasn't he? :-)

Bother, I was sloppy when I read that. I read "And if I might request, no one elses" as "And if I might request, anyone elses."

Sorry, Mr. Judge! Ignore what I wrote. If you re-post the message in a new thread, I can delete this one. (If we had had better forum s/w I could have moved or deleted just the responses...)

No problem, just shut up and go away already. :-)

Don't delete anything. Thanks for your input and this topic will be brought up again for larger discussion later, probably on a different board.

I figure that since Chris and myself have so much to do these days from a judicial standpoint, we can use this chamber as a "Judicial Think Tank" from time to time. I encourage others to view, but in order to keep the thread drift to a minimum, it should be just Chris and myself here.
