I posted these rules using my position as Chief Justice.
I would expect all Chief Justices to do this very same thing.
The title Chief Justice means that I get to carry the load of what we do.
While our decisions carry the same weight legally, it is the Chief Justice who ends up taking the fall when the Court trips up or fails.
As chief justice I am responsible for keeping you folks to task, maintaining a public image to the masses, maintaining a public image to the sitting government, absorbing negative press, and most importantly, making sure that my fellow justices have the tools they need to do their jobs.
I am your servant, your coach, and your boss. :-0
For this I get to create the atmosphere that we operate in.
I'm not being selfish, I'm just putting some basic guidelines in place where there were none before. I've been begging for a disco board for the Court for years.
I finally got one and I have no intention of letting it turn into another Witt. page
