Art Verbotten | What about Pengopats folks?
Forgot about that one didn't you. :-)
The Kingdom has pretty much ignored it since the Penguinean affair.
That affair was the falling out point for several current Republic citizens, most of whom have a better grasp on it than our more familiar parcels of land listed above.
I seem to recall the Penguineans developed it quite well.
I also recall that the whole Pengopats/Penguinea issue started as a way to give our southern hemisphere (SH)citizens something to grasp onto that was closer to home.
Now that we are no longer under a royal thumb, why should we continue to ignore it like the Kingdom does?
If we, and especially our SH citizens are still interested in this chunk of earth and ice, and the hostility it created has healed itself with our new friendships, I say we stake our claim back into it and let it develop it into a working province with all the perks afforded the others.
Let's face it, bad vibe or not, this one piece of land does have its significance in the Republic's history. It was the first fully developed schism of the Kingdom, something that we are now as well. We have some of its founders, I says let's merge and heal some more.
So do we have ice or not? What say you? :-)
