Well, in this case, the problem is that if it is an accepted legal definiation, then the constitution forbids something that is not defined.
In the case of the USA, it appears that the fact it was not defined got perverted.

Not just those 3 rights, but other rights, like Citizenship.
The Bill that Ben wrote was a bill of Attainder in a way, but it affected Citizenship, not Life, Liberty nor property.

Then how DOES it work ? The Canadian press keep saying that this is the way it works in the USA, and I never heard a single conflicting statement.
They keep saying stuff life : "The Jury was divided. In the USA, he would have been aquitted, but instead, here, he is getting a new trial".
So either I misunderstood it, or the press is vastly uninformed.
Can you tell me how it works then ?
