You mean to tell me that only a third of the Republic's citizens care enough about our constitution to vote on the suggested amendments?!?
The vote will, of course, remain open until we get a quorum of at least ten. I also add this caveat: any amendment on which there's a tie vote, I reserve the right to keep the voting open until someone breaks the tie. (Also, I get the feeling that our esteemed Dean would slit my throat from ear to ear if I didn't hang on until he was ready to vote. :)
In other news, I'm increasingly persuaded by citizen Valcįdac'h's suggestion that we have a second round of amendments and suggestions. Mainly because I'm increasingly convinced that there's support out there for a unicameral legislature, although (surprisingly) no-one has actually proposed an amendment to that effect yet. So I'm prepared to propose such an amendment myself, just to make sure that all possible suggestions for changes can get a fair hearing.
