> What the... what does the Constitution have to do with it? The "Federal Code" is never mentioned in the Constitution. It has no legal standing at all - as I keep saying, it's an "accounting fiction" maintained as a tradition in the SoS's office. Therefore, the SoS's office can correct this mistake any time they like - and I would like them to do so.
I meant "Federal Code". =)
So, I am curious, if the Federal Code is not a necessary then why are we bound by its laws? Or are we not? It may not have been specifically been mentioned in the Constitution, which is something that can easily be rectified, then why is it there?
Are you saying that this collective work of SoS fiction has no real bearing on the Republic and its operation? The Federal Code may not have been specifically referred to in the Constitution, but where are all of these 'bills and legislations being recorded that have force of Law over the Republic's Citizens? They need to be recorded somewhere and that somewhere is the Federal Code. It is needed and it has force of law. There is an implied need to record the Bills and Legislations that are passed by the government, and that entity, so chosen by its executors, either directly or indirectly, is the Federal Code.
Just a thought
=)
