If your memory serves you well, during the last two CoD elections we had to deal with numerous difficulties and delays. Everyone will remember the details, so I won't have to enumerate the incidents.

Looking at this, until now we ran exactly one "prototype" of an election, in August 2004. IMHO, we should return to this precedent, but apparently we we won't for one more time. (Sidenote: The first election went like clockwork, too, but we didn't have to care about the dissolution of an old CoD.)

So what's driving me nervous (me! Singular! I'm not speaking on behalf of a party or anybody else but me) is that once again we'll have to wait for something unforseeable until we can take off. This time it seems to be up to the Immigration Minister and her decisions, to determine when exactly we will finally be ready to go. Will it be hours, days or weeks? It would be nice to know more details of this, thus nomination time doesn't come as a surprise while nobody is around and watching.

Btw., as you've been talking about letting in "one or two" immigrants before the election, where do these numbers come from? As I can see by counting my fingers, we've three possible candidates for "the plunge", so I hope "one or two" is just some colloquial imprecision rather than the result of facts that are not obvious to the public. ;-)
