    Oh, I'm sure the voters will figure out who is to blame for this mess easily enough. Of all things, I know Talossan voters to be inherently perceptive.

    If I had really wanted to try and pull the temple down on the Phillistines, I'd have resigned before the VoC was complete and then howl bloody murder for the Pres. to dissolve it before the vote was completed. My own reading of the law (and judging precedent from some of my actions as speaker in the 3rd CoD) was that a seat was vacant until officially occupied by the Deputy (hence, Dp. Tarfa's seat actually is vacant).. but this is just my reading.

    However, my intention of a dissolved/by-election CoD was that the sitting government would then be able to prep itself during the down-time and work full-bore when the house was reassembled after the by-election. Handle some of those things not necessarily needing the legislature, etc.
