I do think sometimes that the Clameur de Haro might be an answer to the problem. With appropriate changes to the wording for a seculkar social federal democratic republic, of course. This would stop a thread for 24 hours, or "sin-bin" somebody, depending on what the suspension involved. But if it was found by a justice to have been frivolous, then the same penalty would be applied to the clameurer.
however...violent debate is hardly a problem for the Republic at the moment-lack of discussion is the problem, surely. so now would not be the time to mount barriers against even unreasonable speech. So I would be opposed to this sort of law for now.
