Assuming that the Chamber doesn't totally change its mind before this weekend, I will become Secretary of State at that stage. It is my objective to begin the process for the Seventh Chamber elections as soon as possible on that date. As former IM, I have the census results, and thus the most recent email addresses for every citizen, so there's no problem.
The other issue, which I have discussed with the President, is that we have three (count 'em) referenda lined up for the same time:
- a referendum to amend the Constitution re: national territory (6RC1)
- a referendum to move to the new Witt (6RC3)
- a referendum to adopt the Schivâ Doctrine as law (6RC5)
The question for the Government to advise me on is: should we have all these referendums now? The one on the move is certainly urgent and should be held ASAP, but how about the other two? Have them now or hold them until later, perhaps the Presidential election in May?
