Back in July of last year, I downloaded (from the Kingdom website, I think, or another site affiliated with it) four PDF files. One of them is called scurznia96 and appears to be a grammar book; the other three (intro, tal-eng, and eng-tal) seem to be the components of an English/Talossan dictionary.

My question: how accurate are these now? I gather there's some talk of spelling reform, but has that already begun? Have there been any notable vocab changes since the schism in Gün xxv/I ? And did I write the date correctly? :-D

Also, are any of those texts copyrighted? If so, is it wrong for me to have them in any way? I don't honestly remember where exactly I found them, so I'm naturally a bit concerned... I just Googled "scurznia" and found a message on one of these fora indicated that RBM expressed copyright over the Scurznia book, and I don't want to cause any diplomatic problems between Republic and Kingdom as you try to patch things up, much less lawsuits directed towards myself! 8-|

Those works are copyrighted by Ben Madison so pay attention. But they do represent the language as it is right now.

This statement is correct. The Scurzniâ Gramaticâ and the Treisoûr del Glheþ (dictionary) embody the current accepted form of the Talossan language, when put together with a list of addenda and corrigenda written by Tomás Gariçéir. Of course, the copyrighted works of R. Ben Madison are not available for distribution by either Republic or Kingdom because their author is a pompous, childish twit who would prefer to kill the Talossan language than let people who wouldn't bend the knee to him use it. But nothing on the planet can prevent us using the information we read in those books, or creating our own original language primers. The problem with the latter is, unfortunately, manpower, which means that it is quite difficult at the moment for newcomers to get into the language.

Several proposals for future reforms - especially to the particularly baroque orthography - have been proposed, but we are awaiting the solidification of proposals for a joint Monarchist/Royalist Language Authority before we make anything concrete happen there.

Exactly. Copyright refers to distribution, not to owning. It is perfectly legal for you to own those PDFs (hold on to them!), but the person who made them available to you might have broken the law (depending on when you got them).
