Esteemed Speaker,

I hereby propose that section 3 of the proposed constitutional amendment be amended in the following manner:

3.The Constitution of the Republic, II.3.3, shall be amended to read:

Subject to the Standing Orders of the Chamber of Deputies, any elector of the Republic of eighteen full calendar years of age or older not otherwise disqualified by this Constitution may be chosen as Seneschál.

I feel that a minor could serve the Republic well in non fiscal capacities, such as culture or immigration, if they are intelligent and enthusiastic. The people can properly penalize a party which would appoint a Finance minister incapable of doing the job, through their own fault or not.
