The following bill, proposed by Dp. Börnatfiglheu, has received no amendments. I therefore, under Standing Order 4, proffer it for the decision of this Chamber:


The Eleventh Amendment to the Constitution (Presidential and Senatorial Requirements) Bill

Be it Enacted by the Parliament and People of the Republic of Talossa as follows:

1. II.1.3 of the Constitution shall be amended to read in its entirety:

Every Talossan citizen of eighteen full calendar years of age or older who has fulfilled one or more of the following criteria is eligible for election as President of the Republic:

1. He or she must have been a Talossan citizen for a total of at least two years, or:
2. He or she must have served as a Member of either house of Parlamînt for a total of at least one year, or:
3. He or she must have served for a total of at least six months as any of the following: Seneschál, a Minister, Secretary of State, Mençei, Túischac'h or Justice of the High Court.


2. II.2.12 of the Constitution shall be amended to read in its entirety:

The qualifications of Senators shall be the same as those required of Deputies, in addition to the fulfillment of one of the following additional qualifications:

1. He or she must have been a Talossan citizen for a total of at least one year, or:
2. He or she must have served as a Member of the Chamber of Deputies for a total of at least six months, or:
3. He or she must have served for a total of at least six months as any of the following: Seneschál, a Minister, Secretary of State, Túischac'h, Justice of the High Court, or Provincial governorship (or equivalent) as defined in the provincial constitution or legal statute.


Deputies have until seven days precisely after the datestamp on this message to cast their votes. If more për than contrâ votes are received, it will be forwarded to the Secretary of State for presentation to the people in a referendum, as provided in II.2.31.
