It's great to have job descriptions, but let's let them be as flexible as they can be so that they can change on a dime. :-)

Túischac’h Txec Ereufighleu Group: citizens (847 posts total) (last post: March 12, 2008 - 12:13) Citizen #34: Dermot | First, limiting the Ministers (inside and outside of the cabinet) to 5 really means that less people are going to have to pick up most of the work. We currently have 7 ministers that cover:
Immigration, Finance, Foreign Affairs, Attourny General, Information, Culture, Senescal
We also have an Ambassador or two out their.
We will not want to set a limit, but perhaps reorganize and set guidlines and precendent for future operations.
If you are looking to limit the number of high level ministers and have others that work for them doing things that are associated with their 'portfolio' in order to share the work and to provide a level of accountability - I am down with that. Kind of like the Culture Ministry has a few associates, and the Secretary of State has a Secretarial Assistant.
Surveyor-General (Archives and statistics, technology, census)
Most of this falls under the purview of the Secretary of State this, with the exception of Technology
There could be a Statistical Assistant to the Secretary.
Currently the Immigration Minister handles the Census, but I could see the SoS picking that up,
with possibly someone else to take care of it.
Keeper of the Seal (Justice and Immigration, internal communications)
I am not sure how Justice is related to Immigration? What do you mean by internal communication.
This sounds like something that a Technology Minister could handle, depending on what you mean.
Immigration should stay a separate position.
Treasurer (Finance)
Sounds good. This minister needs to be a minister inside the cabinet.
Chancellor (Foreign Affairs, external communications)
If I am correct, isn't this the primary job for the Seneschal - dealing with foriegn affairs?
The Senescal has several Ambassadors appointed for various reasons.
First Ladintsch (Culture and Education)
This sounds good - similar to what we have now.
Minister as Distain
I need to review this...
Minister must be a member of a House of Parlimînt.
What is the reasoning for this? I an not sure what you are trying to accomplish with this.
