Allow me to take a moment to update the cabinet on the activities of the LOSS.
1.) Expulsion of Lixtia-Christenburg.
Upon discussion with Secretary General James Bentz and delegates from other nations, I drafted a resolution requesting that the Federative Principality of Lixtia-Christenburg change its delegate to the LOSS on the grounds that he was incapable of conducting himself in a manner becoming of the Assembly. Lixtia then responded that, even should the resolution pass, they would not entertain it or even consider it. This prompted the Zarahemlan Delegate, King Spence, to draft a resolution regarding the expulsion of the nation on grounds of being unwilling to entertain or abide by the earlier resolution. Amid much argument, where the Lixtians accused, indicted, tried without representation, and sentenced certain members of the Assembly in a Lixtian court... they were first suspended and then withdrew from the League entirely.
2.) Second Delegate Resolution
Recent changes to the League Charter now officially allow for each member-state to field two delegates to the General Assembly. While only one will have a vote, either may speak up and discuss issues at will. If there be such a person willing and available, The Republic of Talossa should undertake to fill our delegation post-haste. Indeed, if he is willing, I recommend that Davïu Rôibeardét be strongly considered. Mr. Rôibeardét can be quite vocal and would be an excellent representative of our Republic abroad.
Aside from these two issues, there is little happening in this body. I have put my suggestion of a Commision on International Cooperation on hold for a while. I was in a car accident earlier this week and am spending a great deal of time getting to and from work, not to mention wrangling with insurance officials.
Respectfully,
Eiric Börnatfiglheu |
