> Well, that was fast. :-) Thanks for posting this detailed assessment. Now we've got to discuss the matter, which may take a longer while, looking at the average speed of our government.

What's to discuss? I think that we should let the Associate Foreign Minister take the initiative on this. If every single thing has to be discussed to death by the various ministers - which assumes waiting until they're awake - then there's no point having separate portfolios or areas of responsibility.

My vote is: Cxhn. Börnatfiglheu to be given carte blanche to initiate whatever he wants to do with regards to LOSS, with the proviso that he report all his actions to the Government on this forum and follow any instructions that we can be bothered giving. So what if he messes something up? Doing something stupid will at least mean something we can learn from. Doing nothing is the cancer which is killing the Republic.

> I for one would propose that we observe the LOSS for a while, seeing who's in and what kind of activities are going on there.

Who's "we"? Is it just Eric, or Jim as the "official" Foreign Minister or the whole government? What does "observe" mean? Just reading frequent reports from Eric, or going over to see for ourselves? Let's be more precise or nothing will happen, and I've already said what nation doing nothing is the cancer that is killing.

You have the blessing of your president. While my personal interest in other micronations leaves something to be desired, I think there is much to gain from being friendly and respectful to other people who are doing basically the same thing as Talossa.

At a brief glance I saw that a friend of the Republic is hanging out there, his Talossan name is Niclau Txec Pīntdaviślt (if I remember this correctly). So our diplomats will probably get at least some support when going through the application procedure.
