.<b>An Act to establish a Talossan Academy of Arts and Sciences.</b>

1. As of the official passage into law of this act, a Talossan Academy of Arts and Sciences will be established. The name of the Academy in the national language shall be <em>el Acadiméu Talossán dels Írts és dals Siensiâs</em> (ATIS).
2. The purpose of the Academy will be promote all arts, and all social and physical sciences, within the Talossan Republic and pertaining to the distinct Talossan culture.
3. The Minister of Culture shall be responsible for the administration of this Act.
GOVERNANCE
4. The Academy shall be governed by a Council, named in the national language <em>el Cußélgh Academic</em>. The Chair of the Council shall be the Minister of Culture.
5. All members of the Council shall be eminent persons who have demonstrated commitment to the furtherance of Talossan culture in any of its forms.
6. The initial members of the Council shall be nominated by the Minister of Culture.
7. Once established, the Council is empowered to make its own rules concerning its membership and its decision making.
8. The Council will make reports as required to the Government of the Republic detailing its recent achievements and future plans.
FACULTIES
9. The Academy shall include several Faculties. Each Faculty shall be responsible for the promotion of research, publication and teaching in a particular area of Talossan culture.
10. Every Faculty shall be administered by a Faculty Board (in the national language, <em>Cußéglh Facültatïu</em>.) Every Faculty Board shall include at least one member of the Academy Council, one of whom shall chair the Board.
11. Each Faculty Board is empowered to make its own rules concerning its membership and its decision making.
12. The Academy shall include a Faculty of History and a School of the Talossan Language. The names of these faculties in the national language shall be <em>el Facültïu dal Þistôriâ</em> and <em>la Icastolâ dal Repúblicâ</em>. Other Faculties may be created by decision of the Academy Council.
12. Each Faculty Board shall report as required to the Academy Council detailing its recent achievements and future plans.
SPECIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
13. The Board of the Faculty of History shall advise the Minister of Culture on matters concerning any officially-sanctioned Histories of the Kingdom or Republic of Talossa.
14. The Board of the School of Language shall advise the Minister of Culture concerning the encouragement of learning and use of the Talossan language.
15. Any Boards of other faculties which may be created in future shall similarly advise the Minister of Culture concerning matters of offical policy in their area of expertise.
