(And I always keep pronouncing it air out of habit, which is incorrect.) According to the grammar, there is a more Romance word, noastra/noschtri, which is parallel to voastra/voschtri, but tends now only to be used by royalty in edicts or otherwise to give sentences a snobbish and hyper-royal air.
I think we should Liberate this lovely word from its royal captivity. Being in a republic, we are all kings of our own land and so have just as much right to use noastra as anyone in the ex-royal house does. So just as after the Russian Revolution, the workers and peasants were able to start addressing themselves and being addressed as vy rather than ty (which the nobility addressed them with, as they would a child or a dog), in the same manner let us start using noastra/noschtri to refer to ourselves.
