i have met several times this stupid accusation of "not being worth" around many wiki entries. i do not take care about it, because, what is the proof of "being worth"? wait 100 years and then we may see. wikipedia, better, its pseudo-guard dogs suck...

Basically, if your topic is the sort of thing that most people think is worth knowing, then it is okay. I question, of course, the relative importance of recording in detail the things that most people know. It would seem that the more obscure branches of knowledge would be the best places to cast one's light.
Still, like it or not, Wikipedia articles are an important referal source for people coming to our sites. I think it would be wrong not to contest this. We are the language champions here. One of us should be able to provide a source if anyone here can.

Kibo! Oh, early days of the glorious net, before the shiny Intrawebz that these young people know, love and treat as a second nervous system. How to explain to people what it was like when all there was was email, Usenet, and dodgy FTP sites?
Yeah, I was a regular on alt.religion.kibology for a while. *blush*

Seeing Kibo's name mentioned was indeed a blast from the past. The haunt where I cut my Internet teeth was rec.arts.sf.fandom in the days of its glory.
