critically review them and accept those we find acceptable. to write the language in a same way (cos it is only othography reform, not pronunciation, AFAIK) would be fine, but is not the necessity. dialectisation is tempting to this lang-freak, but i agree, it is unnecessary.

use it!! :) first, in any kind of official things, bilingual documents would be fine. then, those enuff courageous may start to write belletry, poems etc. i am happy to write a title of web-page or short comics and i get sweat of it. then usefull and comprehensive grammar book.
